"To take the state to a higher growth trajectory, the state government has strategised a new Odisha Industrial Development Plan 2025. The vision 2025 lays a 10-year-roadmap for development with transformational policies and strategies and presents a paradigm shift with the government acting as an enabler to aid industrial growth," Patnaik said during the ongoing Make in India Week here.
"It (the state) aims to achieve a sustainable manufacturing and employment generation and intends to attract an investment of Rs 2.25 lakh crore in the five focus sectors and to generate 10 lakh jobs," he added.
Patnaik said Odisha witnessed a robust economic growth of over 8 per cent in 2014-15 and is poised to grow at 12 per cent by 2020.
The Chief Minister added that his government has a ready- to-allot land bank of one lakh acres for industries and it will offer incentives to industries with high employment potential.

"The government has decided to set up an industrial infrastructure development study with a corpus of Rs 100 crore. The government has also decided to tap the expertise and experience of the private sector in the implementation of industrial townships and industrial parks," Patnaik added.
"To provide a fillip to the startup ecosystem, I am dedicating 4.5 lakh sqft ready-to-move facility in Bhubaneshwar. The startup ecosystem shall be mentored and guided by the TiE Silicon valley, with which the government has a strategic partnership, the first of its kind in the country," he added.
Patnaik said his government has embarked on a number of new initiatives like leveraging technology and the state is allocating 2 per cent of the annual budget for the promotion of IT and e-governance.
