The accused has been identified as Satinder Singh, working as PA to Patwari Chanchal Singh, posted at Rajpura in Patiala, a Brueau spokesman said here.
Complainant Rohit Chopra, a resident of Rajapura, had said he had sold a property to a relative in 2005 but the change in title of ownership of the property was not done at that time.
When Chopra met Chanchal Singh for mutation of property, he allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 for the work. However, the deal was struck at Rs 8,000, the spokesman said.
A case has been registered against both the Patwari and his personal assistant, the spokesman said.
