The film, starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, has bagged 14 nominations at the upcoming Academy Awards.
The jazz heavy music was the perfect accompaniment to the romanticism rooted line of Singhal. It was titled after movie "Death on The Nile", which is based on Agatha Christie's work.
"We wanted a retro music which is still relatable. And with 'La La Land' winning awards and Oscar nomination, it was the perfect choice. The film's success coincided with the timing of our show," Payal told PTI.
Bollywood actresses Diana Penty turned showstopper for the line wearing a blush and ash grey kaftaan tunic with an embroidered lehenga.
The designer also had ample support from the sidelines as TV actresses Ragini Khanna, Krystle D'Souza, Lauren Gotleib, Bollywood divas Shriya Saran, Tsnisha Mukherji, Shweta Tripathy and Shibani Dandekar cheered her.
