The Punjab BJP today announced that it would come out with a report card "exposing the misrule" of the Congress government in the state on March 18, the day Chief Minister Amarinder Singh completes a year in office.
The BJP will also hold a protest rally on the completion of one year of the Punjab government, the party's state chief Vijay Sampla said after chairing a meeting with office bearers and core group members here.
The BJP Yuva Morcha (youth wing) would also hold a programme to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on March 23 at Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, he said.
Besides, the schedule caste wing of the party will hold a programme on the birth anniversary of B R Ambedkar on April 14, Sampla said.
The AAP's Punjab joint secretary Deepak Sood also joined the BJP in the presence of Sampla after the meeting.
Sood had unsuccessfully contested Assembly elections from Rajpura.
Backing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "individual soldier" remark on Singh, Sampla said that the CM's "occasional outbursts, interviews and statements against the Congress high command" during the last few years were "sufficient to prove the PM's view point."
"The fact that Punjab cabinet expansion, which was supposed to take place today did not take shape makes is even more evident because Singh's decision doesn't bear the stamp of approval of the Congress high command," he claimed.
