The state government was keeping a strict vigil to crush the ugly head of anti-national forces which were trying to derail the peace and prosperity in the state, Badal said while referring to media reports pertaining to possibility of terror attack during assembly polls next year.
He said some forces inimical to the development of state were constantly hatching conspiracies to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of state but the Punjab government and the wise people of state would never allow these anti-social elements to succeed in their ulterior plans.
The CM reiterated his government's commitment to promote peace and communal harmony in the state, said an official release.
To a query, the Chief Minister said Shiromani Akali Dal will release its Election manifesto for 2017 assembly polls at an appropriate time. He said that all the genuine demands of people would be incorporated in the manifesto before it was made public.
On strict norms laid down for compensation to the next of the kin of the farmers who committed suicides, he said the government was committed to grant Rs 3 lakh as compensation to their hapless families.
