Pb, Har record below-normal temperatures, rain predicted

Maximum temperatures at most places in Punjab and Haryana today hovered below the normal levels, according to the MeT department.
Union Territory Chandigarh recorded a high of 31 deg C, it said.
In Punjab, Amritsar had a maximum of 29.4 deg C, two degrees below the normal, while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 31 deg C and 30.6 deg C, respectively.
In neighbouring Haryana, Ambala recorded maximum of 29 deg C, two degrees below the normal, while the maximum temperatures in Hisar and Narnaul settled at 33 deg C and 33.7 deg C, respectively.
Bhiwani and Karnal recorded maximum temperatures at 33 deg C and 29.8 deg C, a degree below the normal.
Punjab and Haryana may witness light rain at isolated places in the next 24 hours, as per MeT department forecast.
