Pb, Haryana continue to sizzle under intense heat

Punjab and Haryana continued to reel under severe heat wave conditions with Narnaul being the hottest place in both the states with a maximum temperature of 45.5 degrees Celsius, seven notches above normal.
In Haryana, Hisar recorded a high of 44.2 degrees Celsius while Ambala's maximum temperature was 38.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, the MeT department said.
The maximum temperature in Chandigarh was 39.7 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal, it said.
In Punjab, Amritsar experienced hot weather at 41.3 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 41.5 degrees Celsius and 40.6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The MeT department has predicted rains or thundershowers during the next two days at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana.
