Pb, Haryana reel under heat wave, Hisar hottest at 45 deg C

Haryana and Punjab continued to sizzle under blistering heat with Hisar recording the maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius today.
Hisar in Haryana was the hottest place in the neighbouring states recording a maximum temperature three notches above normal, the MeT department said here.
Ambala witnessed a hot day with a temperature 42.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal and Karnal's maximum settled at 41.4 degrees Celsius, it said.
Chandigarh, the common capital of Punjab and Haryana, braved a hot day at 41.4 degrees Celsius, up three notches than normal.
In Punjab, hot weather conditions prevailed in Amritsar at 41.7 degrees Celsius, the department said.
Sweltering heat also swept Ludhiana and Patiala cities which recorded maximum temperatures of 42.1 and 42.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
