Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini today rubbished Bhola's allegations against Majithia and said that these were aimed at deflecting, de-focusing and derailing the ongoing investigations.
"It's ridiculous. It's a very clumsy attempt by an experienced criminal to deflect the attention, derail and defocus the ongoing investigations," Saini told reporters here.
Terming the investigations as "highly professional, fair and transparent, the DGP went on claiming that the allegations have been examined and nothing substantial or even an iota of evidence was found in Bhola's allegations.
He, however, instructed all the SSPs and other senior police officers in the state to continue the crusade against drugs with same precision and vigour.
On the outcome of the investigations in the multi-crore synthetic drug case so far, Saini said 18.5 kg of heroin, 14.8 kg ICE (costliest party drug), over 1,000 kg precursor raw material used to make ICE, 13 sophisticated weapons, 74 high-end vehicles, Rs 1.17 lakh Indian currency and $9,000 had so far been seized from the drug trade operated by Bhola.
