"Those who want a probe, I am not upset with them, I am with them. There should be a probe," Soz told reporters here.
National Conference, which heads a coalition government in J-K with ally Congress, has demanded a CBI or judicial inquiry into the allegations that the Technical Services Division (TSD) had paid Rs 1.19 crore to Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hasaan Mir for toppling the Omar Abdullah government.
"I believe that we are a democratic country where law is supreme and law will take its own course," Soz said, adding that Mir has denied the allegations and due "importance should be given to it too".
On whether Mir should resign on moral grounds from the state Cabinet, Soz said the minister should be given a fair chance to defend himself.
