PCR Investments buys Apollo Hospitals shares for over Rs 87 cr

PCR Investments, a promoter of Apollo Hospitals, today acquired 10 lakh shares of the healthcare company for an estimated Rs 87.67 crore through an open market transaction.
As per the bulk deal information with the bourses, PCR Investments, which held 18.42 per cent at the end of September quarter, today bought 10 lakh shares of Apollo Hospitals.
Apollo Hospitals shares were purchased for an average price of Rs 876.67 apiece valuing the transaction at Rs 87.67 crore.
In the quarter ended September 2013, PCR Investments held 2.56 crore shares of Apollo Hospitals representing a stake of 18.42 per cent in the company.
Apollo Hospitals is one of the leading healthcare groups in the country with over 8,500 beds across 51 hospitals.
Shares of Apollo Hospitals rose by 2.86 per cent to end the day at Rs 875.25 apiece on the BSE.
