PCR van staffers find wallet on street, return it to owner

A man who lost his wallet, containing Rs 13,000 and currencies of some other countries, was in for a pleasant surprise when policemen returned it to him.
PCR staff of MPV (Kite-38) patrolling in Amar Colony area on May 17 spotted an abandoned purse near Moolchand Metro Station. Checking contents of the purse, they found Rs 13,000 INR, Rs 6,000 Nepali currency and other foreign currencies. It also contained an identity card and other papers.
Head constable Ved Pal and constables Manohar Singh and Satish deposited the purse to Amar Colony police station, said a senior police officer.
The Amar Colony police traced the owner of the purse, Millan Girdhar, a resident of Amar Colony, Lajpat Nagar, and returned it to him, the officer said.
