Construction of 4,218 two-room flats was envisaged under the Prime Minister's Reconstruction Plan in the township.
"In a highly discriminatory attitude towards the migrant Pandits the state government has alloted flats of Jagti township to political favourites and people related to those holding Cabinet rank," president of PDP's minority cell, Ashok Bhat said in a meeting at party headquarters here.
Jagti township has been developed to rehabilitate Kashmiri Migrants under the Prime Minister's Rehabilitation and Return Package for them.
"Some of those who have been provided accommodation at Jagti township also have a flat in New Delhi," he alleged.
Bhat also lambasted the government for its failure to implement the state share in Prime Ministers Relief Package and sanctioning of 6,000 posts.
The state government has turned a blind eye towards the Pandit migrants, he said adding, as a result the towship was facing problems related to shortage of power, water and other facilities.
He also demanded for an immediate enhancement of cash relief for the Kashmiri migrants.
