"The PDP-BJP exploited the religious and regional sentiments of the people during the elections to grab power. The two parties must explain their common ground for entering into a coalition for the formation of the government" Pradesh Congress chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir said while addressing a public meeting in Akhnoor today.
Mir said that the there was no parallel of such a "unique coalition where North pole and South pole political forces came together just to share power while during the elections they pitched against each other" he said.
"The two parties conveniently forgot their rhetoric and slogans just to share power against the mandate of respective electorate, which is totally opportunist and unholy alliance in the state" he said.
He said that the Congress would expose the "anti-people" policies of the BJP government at the centre which failed to deliver on a single promise so far. He lashed out at the cheap politics of BJP under leadership of Narendra Modi, who launched "vilification" campaign against the top Congress leadership by "spreading lies".
"They promised to secure CM post for Jammu and despite an equal strength to the PDP they surrendered the position to them. They also surrendered to their slogan of abrogation of Article 370, citizenship to West Pakistan Refugees and one time settlement of POK Refugees, delimitation of Assembly segments amongst many such promises" Sharma said.
