PDP submits adjournment notices over LPG cap

A spokesman of the PDP said the party has decided to take up the issue of LPG cap in the House.

"After the recent decision of the state government in pursuance of Centre's direction to raise the prices of diesel and cooking gas, as also the fresh directions from the state government to recast the LPG list, panic has spread across state, and likely to lead to public unrest," he said.

It is therefore, moved that normal business of the House be suspended on October 3 to discuss the issue of grave and urgent public importance, the adjournment notice submitted by the PDP read.

The spokesman said the government has reportedly decided to issue only three LPG subsidised cylinders for the remaining part of current year with a price of unsubsidised LPG cylinder fixed at Rs 920, which was earlier fixed at Rs 720.

The PDP MLAs have also given notice for discussion in the House on recent killings of Panchs and Sarpanchs.

The notice was submitted to the Speaker's office.
