"We resolve to carry forward the mission of ending the state's political and economic despair. PDP has a pragmatic roadmap for resolution of the Kashmir-issue by involving all stakeholders including the people of Jammu and Kashmir," PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said.
"We will take our agenda to the people to accept our roadmap for restoring lasting peace in the state," Mufti said while addressing a function organised in connection with the party's foundation day here today.
"PDP has shown in the past that it can shoulder the responsibility of taking the process to its logical conclusion," he asserted.
"It should also request the Centre to initiate and hold sincere, serious and wide ranging consultations without any pre-conditions with members of the legislature and other segments of the society aimed at evolving consensus on restoration of peace," he said.
"Removing regional imbalance and creating an atmosphere for initiating peace process is the PDP-led coalition's goal," Sayeed observed.
