Peas edges higher on upsurge in demand

Amid uptick in demand from retailers and restricted supplies from producing belts, peas prices firmed up by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said upsurge in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up peas prices.
In the national capital, peas white and green rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,800-3,825 and Rs 4,000-4,100 per quintal, respectively.

Urad Rs 10,300-11,800, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 10,600-10,700, Urad best Rs 10,700-11,200, Dhoya Rs 11,100-11,400, Moong Rs 5,700-6,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 6,250-6,650, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,650-7,150 and best quality Rs 7,150-7,350.
Masoor small Rs 6,250-6,550, bold Rs 6,300-6,600, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,800-7,300, best quality Rs 6,900-7,400, Malka local Rs 7,300-7,600, best Rs 7,400-7,700, Moth Rs 5,500-5,900, Arhar Rs 8,900, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 11,700-13,400.
Gram Rs 8,500-9,000, Gram dal (local) Rs 8,700-8,900, best quality Rs 9,000-9,100, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,700,Rajdhani Rs 3,700, Rajma Chitra Rs 5,700-6,950, Kabuli Gram small Rs 10,000-10,200, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 3,800-3,825 and green Rs 4,000-4,100.
