Peas rise on pick up in demand

Barring a rise in peas prices on pick up in demand from retailers, other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market today on lack of worthwhile activity.
Traders said pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in peas prices.
In the national capital, peas white and green were up by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,800-2,825 and Rs 2,800-2,900 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):
Urad Rs 8,100-8,900, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 9,100-9,300, Urad best Rs 9,200-9,800, Dhoya Rs 9,600-9,900, Moong Rs 6,300-6,800, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 7,100-7,600, Moong Dhoya local Rs 7,100-7,400 and best quality Rs 7,900-8,000.
Masoor small Rs 6,600-7,200, bold Rs 6,600-7,200, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,700-7,800, best quality Rs 7,800-7,900, Malka local Rs 7,900-8,250, best Rs 8,000-8,300, Moth Rs 5,300-5,600, Arhar Rs 9,500-9,700, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 11,000-11,100.
Gram Rs 5,050-5,650, Gram dal (local) Rs 5,300-5,500, best quality Rs 5,400-5,700, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,250, Rajdhani Rs 2,250, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,900-6,500, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,600-7,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,000-5,200, Peas white Rs 2,800-2,825 and green Rs 2,800-2,900.
