Peer team to assess a city institute of technology

A three-member Peer Team from National Assessment and Accreditation Council is here to assess the performance of the city-based Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology.
Approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and accredited by National Board of Accreditation, the Institute has applied for NAAC Accreditation with a self-study report.
The NAAC team is on a three-day visit to the campus from today with regard to quality assurance and will interact with the management, principal, staff, students, alumni and parents during their stay, an institute release said.
The Team headed by Prof M P Poonia, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research), Chandigarh, Prof Dr Vilas Karjinni from Kolhapur Institute of Techology and Dr Ajit Kumar Panda, National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) Ganjam, Orissa will asses the college and submit its report to NAAC board, it said.
