Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today lauded the government officers for their contribution in enhancing revenue generation in the state during the last two years.
Inaugurating a new building of the district secretariat at Tezu in Lohit, he appreciated the efforts of the government officers in raising the state's revenue from Rs 900 crore to Rs 1,600 crore for two consecutive financial years -- 2016-17 and 2017-18.
He sought their continued cooperation and assured them that their grievances would be addressed, an official release said.
The chief minister appreciated the Public Works Department (PWD) for completing construction work of the new building in 14 months, it said, adding that Khandu also assured support for completion of two more blocks of the secretariat.
Earlier, the chief minister also inaugurated the Kalikho Pul Memorial Badminton Club and the treasury office constructed by the PWD and the Rural Works Department (RWD) respectively, the release said.
Later, he laid the foundation stone for construction of an outdoor football stadium with a seating capacity of 5,000, it said.
The stadium would be constructed at the cost of Rs 36.10 crore, the release added.
