Ludhiana, which received 17.2 mm rain, recorded a maximum temperature of 34.5 degrees Celsius, down four notches against normal, the MeT Department report said.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 36.8 degrees Celsius, down two degrees, after receiving 3 mm rain. Patiala, which received 5.7 mm rain, recorded a maximum temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, which received 20.9 mm rain last evening, recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, down five notches.
In Haryana, Ambala received 13.6 mm rain and recorded a high of 35.5 degrees Celsius, down two degrees. However, Hisar had a hot day at 41.6 degrees Celsius, one degree more than normal, the MeT department said.
