Congress leader Kumari Selja today claimed that though people do not speak against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, they had made up their mind to uproot the BJP government from the Centre and the state.

People are being victimised in Rajasthan due to BJP's governance and their sentiments are with the Congress, the Rajasthan Congress screening committee chairperson said.

"We have to continue maintaining our trust. Parameters in politics have changed so we have to improve with changing times to win people's trust," Selja said while addressing a one-day election workshop here.

Congress general secretary and state in-charge Avinash Pandey said the 'Mera Booth- Mera Gaurav' campaign was successfully conducted in the state and a dialogue was established with over 7 lakh people in 200 assembly constituencies.

Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said the BJP might have been voted to power by the people for their false promises, but the situation is clear now.

People are with the Congress and fearing this, the BJP is planning to hold assembly and general elections together, he claimed.

On Congress president Rahul Gandhi giving a hug to the prime minister in Parliament, Gehlot said, "Keeping aside differences, the PM could have stood up to reciprocate the gesture for historic moment."
