He said "not only the lotus blossomed but our vote share went up magically" in Assam and other states, which proves that people have faith in the developmental policies of Modi.
"People want good governance and good politics, while the Congress was not willing to eschew its feudal mindset," the Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs told PTI.
Attacking the Congress for its "untiring propaganda" of branding BJP as "divisive and anti-Muslim", Naqvi, also the MoS for Minority Affairs, noted that "in a state like Assam a large number of Muslims and Christians voted for BJP, while the Congress got an unprecedented drubbing."
Naqvi claimed that while the CPI(M) has accepted its tie-up with Congress in West Bengal was a "blunder". Some top Congress leaders in various states have been raising the issue as to who between Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi should be at the helm in the outfit, he claimed.
"Such bickeringsin the outfit are going to multiply further in the near future," he added.
