People will teach lesson to opposition parties: CM

Dismissing opposition's criticism that there was no governance in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister K Palaniswami today said the AIADMK government was focused on implementing variuos welfare schemes and people would take care of those who blocked the schemes.
"We are running the government for the welfare of the people and for implementing schemes that took care of the people's welfare. If they stand in the way..People will teach them a lesson," he said.
Addressing a function here to celebrate the centenary of ruling AIADMK founder late M G Ramachandran, he charged the opposition parties with spreading lies about the government.
Some parties wanted the government to be dismissed, but "nothing can be done," he said referring to demands for dismissal of his ministry on the ground that it had lost majority.
Palaniswami said the opposition was collectively criticising the MGR centenary celebrations.
Recalling their contributions to the growth of the region, the Chief Minister said it was MGR who inaugurated the unit of Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd.
