Persistent net up 6% at over 80 cr

IT player Persistent Systems Ltd today posted 6.24 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 80.80 crore for the quarter ended March 31.
The company had posted net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 76.05 crore in the year-ago period, Persistent Systems Ltd said in a filing to BSE.
The total income of the company increased to Rs 701.74 crore, over Rs 515.78 crore in the year-ago period, it said.
"Our 25th year has been monumental with significant strategic acquisitions, partnerships and the new alignment of the Company into four key growth business lines - Digital, IBM Alliance, Services and Accelerite. This transformation positions us for our long-term success," Persistent Systems CMD Anand Deshpande said in a statement.
In a separate filing to BSE, the company said: "The Board has not recommended Final Dividend for the year ended March 31, 2016. Accordingly, the 2 (two) interim Dividends paid during this Financial Year aggregating to Rs 8 per share are considered as the total dividend for the above Financial Year.
