Peter Paul beats Saleem in all-India open snooker tourney

: Peter Paul of Railways beat the experienced S A Saleem (Cosmo) by four frames to three in a round of 32 clash in the Q-Lounge All-India open snooker championship here Wednesday.

Paul won 63-27, 25-71, 77-60, 73-83, 46-45, 32-67, 76-51 to secure a spot in the last 16.

In other matches, Hari Rajamani of TNBSA outplayed current State No.2 Mushtaq of Q-Tricks 4-0 while Loganathan dismissed the challenge of Madur 4-1.

Results: Round of 32: Loganathan (TNBSA) beat Madur (Q-Lounge) 4-1 (69-27, 87-16, 63-18, 14-56, 77-43); Hari Rajamani (TNBSA) beat Mushtaq (Q-Tricks) 4-0 (69-48, 60-42, 65-32, 54-32); Peter Paul (RSPB) beat S A Saleem (Cosmo) 4-3 (63-27, 25-71, 77-60, 73-83, 46-45, 32-67, 76-51).

Round of 64: Nikhil Saigal (Mumbai) beat Hassan (TNBSA) 3-2 (44-54, 26-57, 71-38, 78-35, 92-80); Sparsh (Mumbai) beat Shoaib (Q-Ball City) 3-1 (30-55, 69-31, 74-0, 78-33); Hrithik Jain (MP) beat R Anupama (Mylapore) 3-1 (56-14, 30-60, 69-41, 56-32).
