Madras High Court bench today dismissed a petition seeking to include Transport Minister V Senthil Balaji in an abduction and land grabbing case.
Justice A Arumughasamy dismissed the petition, observing that petitioner N Maniraj was a third party who did not have any locus standi to file the case.
Maniraj claimed that one Periyasamy was kidnapped by a gang from Coimbatore on June 3,2011 and later taken to Karur, where the minister and his men forced him to sign some documents transferring his property worth Rs five crore in favour of the minister.
Though Periyasamy filed a police complaint, the minister's name was not included in the FIR, he claimed.
Periyasamy's petition filed before a Judicial Magistrate in Karur to include the minister's name in the charge sheet was also dismissed, he added.
However Periyasamy did not appeal against the Judicial magistrate's order.

The judge then dismissed the petition.
