Drug firm Pfizer Ltd today reported a standalone net profit of Rs 104.51 crore for the quarter ended March of 2017-18.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 68.04 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Pfizer Ltd said in a BSE filing.
Standalone revenue from operations of the company stood at Rs 519.95 crore for the quarter under consideration. It was Rs 453.17 crore in the same period a year ago.
Net profit for the fiscal year ended March this year stood at Rs 360.07 crore. It was Rs 336.78 crore in the previous fiscal.
The company said as Goods and Service Tax (GST) was implemented from July 1, 2017, the revenue for the period from July 1, 2017 up to March 31, 2018 is reported net of GST. Sales for the year ended March 31, 2018 includes excise duty up to June 30, 2017. Accordingly, sales for the period are not comparable.
Standalone revenue from operations of the company stood at Rs 1,980.19 crore for the financial year ended March 2018. It was Rs 2,041.93 crore in the previous fiscal.

In a separate filing, Pfizer said its board has recommended a dividend of 200 per cent for the financial year ended March 31, 2018.
Shares of Pfizer today closed at Rs 2,501.40 per scrip on BSE, up 7.76 per cent from its previous close.
