Supported by pickup in demand from bulk consumers at prevailing multi-year lows, prices of select sugar millgate advanced by another Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today.
Besides, pause in supplies from mills too supported the upside.
Traders attributed the rise in sweetener prices to increased buying by stockists and bulk consumers coupled with fall in supplies from mills.
In the millgate section, Mawana, Asmoli, Dorala, Khatuli and Dhampur prices rose by Rs 10 each to Rs 2,320, Rs 2,340, Rs 2,300, Rs 2,350 and Rs 2,260 per quintal.
Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal)
