Abdul Razak Bhat, a resident of Srinagar, died due to cardiac arrest in Makkah after performing the Haj, the officials said.
They said Bhat was buried in the holy Muslim city while his wife, who was accompanying him, will be flown back home on Friday.
Meanwhile, Kashmir High Court Bar Association has condoled the death of Bhat, whose son advocate Nisar Ahmad Bhat is a member of the association.
A condolence meeting was held in the High Court complex here.
