Actor Piper Perabo has revealed that she was arrested for protesting against US President Donald Trump's Supreme Court judge pick Brett Kavanaugh.
The 41-year-old actor-activist, best known for the film "Coyote Ugly" and "Looper", was arrested during Supreme Court confirmation hearing of nominee Kavanaugh in Washington DC.
"I was just arrested for civil disobedience in the Kavanaugh hearings," the actor wrote on Twitter.
"Many citizens before me have fought for the equal rights of women. I can't be silent when someone is nominated to the Supreme Court who would take our equal rights away.#StopKavanagh" she added.
Perabo also posted a video of her and several other women being forcefully escorted from the room where Kavanaugh was being questioned by lawmakers.
Piper has been very outspoken in her disdain for Kavanaugh, and has even dedicated her Twitter cover image to him.
However, it is not clear whether Perabo was charged for any crime or was taken into custody.
