Piramal board to meet this week to consider raising Rs 300 cr

Diversified group Piramal Enterprises today said its board will meet later this week to consider raising funds up to Rs 300 crore through issue of securities.
A meeting of the administrative committee of company's board will be held on June 10 to consider and approve the issue of secured non-convertible debentures on private placement basis amounting up to Rs 300 crore, Piramal Enterprises said in a regulatory filing.
The Mumbai-based entity, however, did not specify the purpose for raising the fund.
Piramal Enterprises is the flagship company of Piramal Group and is present in healthcare, financial services and information management verticals.
Piramal Group currently has operations in over 30 countries and has a strong presence in more than 100 markets around the world.
Stock of Piramal Enterprises today ended 1.30 per cent lower at Rs 1,403.35 on BSE.
