The company had posted a net profit of Rs 249.02 crore and net sales of Rs 1,385.12 crore during the same period in the last financial year.
The results are not comparable on the account of various acquisitions and divestitures such as stake sale in Vodafone India and lab diagnostics and point-of-care business, the company said in a regulatory filing.

During the quarter, the revenue from pharmaceuticals manufacturing and services stood at Rs 924.54 crore while income from financial services and information management was Rs 507.59 crore and Rs 426.60 crore, respectively.
Piramal Enterprises' was trading 1.79 per cent down at Rs 954.55 on BSE during the afternoon session.
