Pistachio prices rise on better offtake, less arrivals

Pistachio prices rose by Rs 10 per 40 kg at the wholesale dry fruits market in the national capital today following ongoing wedding season demand amid restricted arrivals.
Traders said, strong demand, triggered by ongoing marriage season along with less arrivals, mainly pushed up pistachio prices.
Elsewhere, other dry-fruits continued to trade in a tight range and settled at the previous levels.
Pistachio Irani, Hairati, Peshwari and Dodi moved up by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 1,1035-1,135, Rs 1,435-1,490, Rs 1,535-1,590 and Rs 730-860 per 40 kg bag.
