Pistachio rises by Rs 5 on fresh buying support

Pistachio prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today following fresh buying support from retailers and stockists amid fall in supplies from the overseas markets.
Prices of pistachio hairati and peshwari gained by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 1,350-1,400 and Rs 1,425-1,450 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said increased offtake by retailers and stockists amid restricted supplies from the overseas markets, mainly pushed up pistachio prices at the dry fruit market here.

Almond (California) Rs 20,400, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 10,000-10,300; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 6,700-7,000; Abjosh Afghani Rs 15,000-20,000.
