Pistachio weakens on muted demand

Barring a fall in pistachio prices on subdued demand, other dryfruits held steady in the absence of worthwhile activity at the wholesale market today.
Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers led to the decline in pistachio prices.
In the national capital, pistachio hairati and peshwari were down by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,450-1,500 and Rs 1,550-1,620 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kgs):
Almond (California) Rs 16,200-16,600, Almond(Gurbandi- new) Rs 12,200-12,300, Almond (Girdhi) Rs 5,600-5,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-23,000.
