In restricted activity, prices of pistachio declined by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists.
Besides, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from overseas markets put pressure on pistachio prices.
Pistachio (hairati and peshawari) eased by Rs 5 to settle at Rs 1,320-1,370 and Rs 1,495-1,570 per kg, respectively.
Traders said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists against fresh arrivals led to the fall in pistachio prices at the wholesale dry fruit market here.
Following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 18,400, Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,200; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,800; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 650-670 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg.
