PLA cadre arrested in Arunachal Pradesh

In a joint operation, security forces apprehended five Peoples' Liberation Army (PLA) cadre in trouble-torn Longding district and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from them.
Personnel of the Assam Rifles stationed at Longding in a joint operation with state police from Pongchau Police Station apprehended the PLA cadre from Pongchau area, on Wednesday last, a delayed official report said here today.
The arrested rebels were identified as Pongsiba Dingam, Jackson Kuki, Diwang Chawang, Monglemba Meitei and Ngongo Meitei, all from Manipur, the report said.
Two AK M-22 rifles, two AM-T81, one 3G81 LMG along with 631 rounds bullets, 13 magazines, one magazine box and Rs 22,000 in cash were recovered from them, the report said.
They were remanded to police custodyl.
