State expected funds from Centre to a tune of Rs 6534.17 crore for the period. The cabinet also approved the state's draft plan for Rs.24,000 crore, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told reporters during cabinet briefing here.
An amount of Rs 5500 crore has been earmarked for the local self governments for carrying out various development activities, he said.
"This will come to around 24.43 per cent of the total plan outlay", he said.
For infrastructure development, Rs 2536.07 crore has been allotted. The projects included a Mega Food Park at Palakkad, Kochi Petro Chemical Park, Kochi Electronic Hardware park,Vizhinjan International Deepwater Seaport and Kannur Airport.

This is to ensure that welfare pensioners also get their amount in time. Only after pension amount reaches respective department accounts, salary account of Chief Minister will be credited, he said. The new system of pension disbursement will come into effect from next month.
To a question, he said government was also trying to clear the pension arrears, ranging from six to eleven months, in some sectors.
Chandy also said that he had received information that three Keralities who were facing hardship at the hands of their employer in Saudi Arabia would reach the state within two days.
The plight of the three persons from Haripad in Allapuzha district came to light after it was reported in a section of media.
Chandy said Indian Consulate Geneal in Saudia Arabia and Malayalees Association in that country had intervened on the matter and three would be brought to state in next two days.
