Plan to eliminate all UMLCs within one year, SCR GM

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav today instructed officials to eliminate all Un Manned Level Crossings (UMLCs) gates in the zone by next year.
Yadav, who conducted a review meeting on safety and punctuality at Rail Nilayam along with principal heads of departments, said the Minister of Railways has complimented the zone regarding elimination of level crossings, according to an official release.
He also instructed the officials to make an action plan to provide all stations and offices with LED lighting by the end of this financial year.
The General Manager speaking on the safety, instructed the officials to intensify field level checks, track maintenance works and address the problems on top priority.
He reviewed all the unsafe working activities in the zone and advised the officials to take preventive measures to arrest any such incidents.
Yadav reviewed the monsoon readiness drill including patrolling, monitoring of water levels of tanks and so on and instructed them to concentrate on vulnerable locations, it said.
The General Manager instructed that Employee Charter should be implemented properly in all Divisions and genuine grievances by the employees should be sorted out immediately.
Speaking on the welfare activities of women employees, the General Manager instructed the officials to give priority to their grievances.
