Plea seeking permission for conduct of meeting adjourned

The Madras High Court today adjourned by four weeks haring on a petition from the Secretary of the Coimbatore based, Wagathathe Islami Hind, seeking for a direction to police to permit them to conduct "Samuga Neethi Karutharangu on November 13.
The petitioner submitted that they made all arrangements to conduct the meeting peacefully and they have sent a representation to the police on November 3 seeking protection for its conduct between 4 PM to 11 PM.
The petitioner submitted that the Police without following CRPC had simply rejected their request and hence the present petition seeking a direction from the Court to police.
