The maximum temperature was two degrees above normal at 30.7 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled at 14 degree Celsius, normal for this time of the year. The humidity oscillated between 38 and 94 per cent.
In the capital, south Delhi's Aya Nagar area had the lowest temperature at 12.7 degree Celsius while it also recorded the highest maximum at 31 degree Celsius.
"Today's weather was awesome. A perfect setting for shopping for Diwali," said Madhumita Sinha, a housewife residing in South-Ex.
The Met department has predicted similar conditions for tomorrow with mercury fluctuating between 14 and 30 degree Celsius.
"The morning hours may witness mist or shallow fog but the Delhi skies will be clear as the day progresses," the MeT said.
