Pleasant day in Delhi; fog disrupts flight, train services

It was a pleasant and breezy day in the national capital today even as fog in early hours affected 119 flight services and delayed 14 Delhi-bound trains.
The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 23.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 9 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, said a MeT department official said.
Humidity in air oscillated between 97 and 50 per cent.
Visibility was recorded at 400 metres at 5.30 AM which gradually improved to 600 metres at 8.30 AM. It was 2,000 metres at 11 AM.
A total of 119 flights, including 20 departing flights, were delayed due to bad weather, said an official at the IGI Airport.
According to railway officials, 14 Delhi-bound trains were reported running late while 23 trains remained cancelled as announced earlier.

"Skies will be mainly clear. Moderate to dense fog may occur in some places during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle at 24 degrees Celsius and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively," the official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 22.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 13.4 degrees Celsius.
