Kolkata recorded the day's highest temperature at 35.6 degrees Celsius along with Bankura and Asansol, which too recorded the same figure, according to the Met department here.
The mercury went up to 35.5 degrees Celsius at Sriniketan, while it reached 35.0 degrees Celsius at Burdwan.
The Met department has forecast rain or thundershowers in the coming two days in most parts of Gangetic West Bengal.
In Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, the temperatures remained low owing to scattered rains.
