"Whenever crisis hits society, a supreme personality emerges to deal with it. And Jayaprakash Narayan was like that supreme personality," the former external affairs minister said here.
"But again things become the same after some days after the restoration, because evil dominates human nature. We have to take a pledge that we will tread the path shown by JP, who dedicated his life for values," he said.
"Jayaprakash Narayan never asked anything for himself. He did not accept any position. How many people are there to follow his footsteps?" Sinha asked.
On the occasion, the two organisations among others demanded a strong Lokpal that should also cover the post of chief minister.
