Plethora of skill-based courses on offer at DU to enhance CVs

While the admissions to various UG programmes at Delhi University have almost closed, aspirants still have an option of taking up various certificate courses to enhance their CVs with options such as art appreciation, sign interpretation and even charkha spinning!
The varsity is now inviting applications for various certificate and diploma courses being offered at its various colleges.
Among the popular offerings are language courses, media studies, corporate communication and photography.
The School of Languages, St Stephen's College, offers part-time diploma and advanced diploma courses in French, German, Spanish, Chines and Japanese.
"We have also introduced certificate courses in Italian and Korean from this year. These courses are open not only to DU students but also the public at large," Renish Geevarghese Abraham, Coordinator of the college's School of Languages said.
Language courses are also available at Daulat Ram College, Ramjas College and Hindu College.

The varsity's Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) is offering three levels of courses in sign interpretation. The course offered with A, B and C levels is of three months duration and classes are organised in afternoon.
Those interested in number crunching can opt for certificate programme in financial markets taught at Gargi College and Jesus and Mary College.
While JMC offers a stand-alone course on the subject focusing on capital budgeting, valuation concepts and managing short-term investment, at Gargi College financial markets is taught as part of a certificate programme in banking and financial services.
