PLFI ultra arrested

People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) was today arrested in Lohardaga district, but several of his associates managed to escape, police said.

The ultra was identified as Suresh Sao and wanted in several cases, Superintendent of Police J K Singh told reporters.

The CRPF and district police were patrolling the area when they got information that extremists had gathered at Goderpo under Bhandra police station. Sao was nabbed while others managed to escaped on seeing the police, Singh said.

A rifle, three motor-bikes and two mobile sets were seized from the spot, he said and added the ultras gathered to perpetrate crime at some place.
