Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday condoled the death of nearly 190 people in an Indonesian plane crash.
The Indonesia Lion Air flight crashed into the sea with 189 passengers and crew aboard and no survivors were expected, reports said.
The plane was being flown by Indian pilot Bhavye Suneja.
"My thoughts are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the plane crash in Indonesia. May Almighty give them strength and courage in this hour of grief," the Prime Minister's Office tweeted quoting Modi, who is in Japan.
