PM congratulates Raghubar Das for cashless Jharkhand campaign

In the wake of Centre's recent demonetisation move, Jharkhand has started a campaign to promote cashless transaction, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi who congratulated him for it.
Das, who was in the national capital, also invited the Prime Minister to inaugurate the bridge on the Ganga river in Sahebganj in January 2017 which the latter accepted.
"After demonetisation, the state has started 'cashless Jharkhand campaign' from December 2 to promote cashless transaction. The Prime Minister congratulated the Chief Minister for the campaign," an official statement said.
Das met Modi in his office inside Parliament.
"During the meeting, Das requested Modi to inaugurate the bridge on the Ganga river in Sahebganj in January which the Prime Minister accepted," the statement said.
The bridge, costing Rs 2,000 crore, will connect Sahebganj and Manihari which will pave the way to development in Sahebganj and Santhal Pargana and boost up the industries in Bihar and eastern states, Das said.
Later, the Chief Minister also met Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
