Health Minister J P Nadda said the All India Institute of Medical Sciences would provide much-needed tertiary medical services to Himachal Pradesh and its neighbouring states.
Nadda also expressed gratitude to the prime minister for sanctioning the premier medical institute in the hilly state, the statement said.
He said the establishment of the institute in Bilaspur is a milestone in the list of achievements of the NDA government in the health sector,
"Under the guidance and visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, the (health) ministry is fast moving in strengthening the tertiary care network in the country," Nadda said.
